Air running Yosemite, played a video and turned on AirPlay mirroring to my Apple TV 4 running tvOS 9.1. The sound keeps coming from my Air, not the TV. I checked the Sound.prefPane and confirmed that the Apple TV is selected under Output.

The Mac and Apple TV are connected to the same home WiFi network. The WiFi network is not busy and my broadband is quite fast (>50Mbs download speed).
